I'm the best man for my buddies wedding next May.

I have to plan the bachelor party.

No idea what I'm doing.

You always see in movies people buying the night through some company that arranges transportation, entertainment, drinks, etc, do those exist? Should I just plan it all myself? Things to do/not to do? Advice?

We live in Central Florida, him in Orlando and myself in Lakeland. Wedding is in Orlando.

I'd almost like to do a trip down to Miami for all us groomsmen for the day/night, party hard, then drive back. Not sure tho!

Suggestions? Advice? Anyone ever plan one? D:

Ask the groom what he would like to do. Nothing like being dragged along for a bachelor party (as the groom) and not being into what is going on.

I went to a bachelor party once.

it's scarred me for life and I couldn't even look at a female without flinching for like a month.

yeah don't be too cheap, get a hotel you aren't gonna be done partying in miami till about 4am anyways. 4am+1 hr to eat + 5 hrs of sleep barely gets you to checkout.

For mine we went golfing; drank beers and smoked cigars for 18 holes, then had dinner at the club house. Was exactly what I wanted to do.

Buy some drugs from a guy named Doug and the rest of the night will take care of itself. It will be so awesome you won't even remember it.

Went to the (horse) racetrack and the strip club with some friends. Very relaxed, enjoyable evening.

Is your wife reading this? You really didn't want to bang a couple hot sluts one last time before tying the knot?

We went canoeing/kayaking for the afternoon and then went back to my house and played Texas Hold 'em for a few hours. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing which was exactly what I wanted right before the wedding.

Go to Key West in October for Fantasy Fest.

Stay at a place in down so you can get sloshed and walk back to your place.

It's like Mari Grais with more nudity and homosexuals but it's a crazy wild time every time I've been.

Just remember if you are walking down Duval street and see a high number of dudes in assless chaps holding hands and making out, you've gone to far and are now on the gay side of the festival. Promptly turn around and head the other way and enjoy the endless supply of nude college women who will do just about anything to "win" some bead necklaces. That is of course unless you or members of your group are gay, then it might be just what everyone is looking for, either way, I'm not judging.

Just got back from a bachelor party in Vegas. Nothing like standing in front of a craps table for like 24 hours in two days. :p

Wow, there are some really boring people here.

Well, it's not exactly hard to get creative and interesting with a bachelor party. Getting the groom on board with whatever is going to happen is key though. I've been to low key bachelor parties (golf, brewery tours, etc.) and bachelor parties that have been so filthy (whores) that I literally WANT to forget them and the fact that I was ever there (sorry, I'm just not into the whole prostitute thing, even strippers skeeve me out a bit).

Seriously OP, find out what the groom wants. Once you know that, the whole planning process gets a lot easier.

Check with the groom and make sure whatever you want to do is what he will want to do. Believe it or not, most bach parties are not like you think they are. Plenty of people just go out and have a good time locally without getting a limo, without getting a suite, without going to a strip club, etc.
