I have a 2.4GB/120GB acct.

Bandwidth used for the past 5 days is 24.09 GB. Cycle Estimate: 149.358 GB.

I bought a MegaByte account at Telnap and have tried to add a domain. Says that I can't because I'm not allowed any addon domains. WTF!!

Plus I get about 2 emails/month saying that they are having troubles or are switching servers or some BS like that. Pretty annoying.

Anyone know of a reliable webhost that won't rip me off or send me worthless, annoying emails?

I put in a support ticket this afternoon sometime. No response yet. Didn't think I'd get one considering it's Sunday.

Maybe those emails are common to get, but I've had a hosting package at addaction.net for a year and never got any emails about them switching servers or telling me I'm going to have downtime. Granted, addaction was more expensive BUT I always got a response to any questions within minutes. Very good service there.

how'd you pull off the 1and1 account & the Dreamhost account? Were they one time offers?

Any problems with them?

DreamHost: 4gb/ 120gb/m - 10$ year

Is that 10 a year for just the 1st year or did you get a deal where its 10/yr forever?

Manlius. I moved to them after the CW fiasco. Pretty reliable. They sure as hell don't offer a plan like that anymore...

1&1 was doing a promo like over a year ago that if you signed up you got 3 years free, it wa sall over the place, net, mags EVERYWHERE, half of AT got on it i think

The dreamhost one was a Promo around Xmass, it was 2gb/120 and the upped everyone to 4gb for nothing, it was 10$ for 1 year and i think after that year they up the price if you wanna keep it,

havent had any issues with dreamhost, it was down for a bit but they had to move servers or something so thats fine, was only a few hours anyway, other that that its sweet, itll sert at ~2MEGS/Sec

only drawback is the damn web interface controlls

I don't want to bother people with a IM or PM. It would annoy me if I was running a service and people were throwing IM and PMs at me all days of the week with their questions.

That's why I filed a support ticket. He can answer it when he has time. Saturday and Sunday aren't work days, so I was assuming the soonest I would get a response was Monday.

Just thought addaction was nice because they would responsed within minutes. It was nice, but I was paying an extra couple bucks a month.

I'm allowed 5GB a day multiplying that by 31 (assuming a 31 day month, of course) 155 GB a month.
