I miss the days when for a short amount of time, you could rate a thread on a scale of 1-5 stars.

Naturally being ATOT, it was quite abused.

ROSS! Great to see you back!

For those of you who still don't know, Ross has been one of the most positive, helpful people these forums have ever seen.

Who remembers FuseTalk?

During the FuseTalk-era my favorite feature was the subscription service which eventually died

What about private topics or whatever it was called? Thanks to pr0n and warez, they disabled that feature in record time.

Here's a real blast from the past --> Behind AnandTech - The Search for the Perfect Servers by Anand Lal Shimpi dated 8/23/2000

What do you remember about "the good 'ole days"?

Disclaimer: To avoid this thread from being locked/nuked from orbit ... please keep it clean, light hearted and within forum guidelines.

that would be awesome if they still had it

I remember getting a check for 60 or so from the Buy.com class action lawsuit . At the time those Hitachi 19" monitors were one of the best.

I remember all the WMC starting threads crying about owner "Scott Bum/Blum"

lol i still have one of those monitors, i actually got one, still working to this day,

Spider
I'm going to try something (hand holding)
Alternators
Mice popping out of AC's
Tom Wellington man crush from unnamed member :p

On and on I could go.

Hard to believe I've been on here for 9 years or more already.

I really hope things work out someway that this place is around another 10 years and worth staying at.

I was 22 when I started browsing the forms here. Signed up when I was 23. Then I was building my 1st "gaming rig" living with a roommate in another state and shortly got laid off in a huge company downsizing (half the company in one day).

Now I'm 31 and will be 32 in two weeks. Live in a different state. Going on my 6th year of marriage. Have a son that will be 3 this June. Own a home and work for one of the larger tech companies out there.

A hell of a lot has changed for me since I started here but I still keep coming here every day (usually).

RossMAN!

I miss the days when FuseTalk was on it's way out, and you could steal a thread/post hop someone randomly.

Yikes. There's a name I remember. Though the name I don't remember is the (old?) admin of the highly technical section. He used to have the dragon avatar...make tons of that limoncello booze, and lived in Texas. That's all I remember.
