Who do you think is the greatest RBI man ever in baseball?

My vote goes to Lou Gehrig

Babe ruth was the most prolific home run hitter in baseball history. Lou Gehrig hit behind him. That means Lou Gehrig went to bat many times with the bases empty.

13 consecutive seasons of 112+ RBI

Only player in baseball history with 500+ RBI over any 3 seasons combined

He had to retire at the age of 35. I have a feeling his disease affected him in his last full season in which he had 114RBI.

If not for his disease I think he would have had career RBI numbers that would have been almost unreachable.

Interesting. I was looking at career RBI numbers and Anson has 2076 compared to 1995 for Gehrig.

Gehrig retired at age 35
Anson retired at age 45

I'm interested but the only thing I have to share is that I've always wondered why Ruth didn't keep pitching and then play OF on his non-pitching days.

Wow I never knew that. Interesting stuff. I have no clue really. My baseball history knowledge isn't all that great. Good choice though I must say.

It's too late, look at Miri's blue light. Right now, he's fast asleep, on pillows stained with tears of no one giving a sh!t earlier.
