Lets see your OS X desktop

running hackintosh on my msi wind netbook and loving it! sorry if the resolution is way smaller than what you guys are used to...(1024x600)

btw, thestu, i LOVE your background! where did you get it from? 🙂

I got it from Cultured Code's website. They wrote Things for the iPhone and that is a picture of one of the guy's desk while they were doing the layout for the UI. There is another one that I wasn't as fond of, but others may like. Here is the image from their website.

Here's my pre-Leopard screenie: link

Right now it's the same, except for the Leopard dock and a few more icons on the desktop.

What do you use to show the date in the top?

I would imagine that he is using iStatMenus. A very handy little preference pane that lets you have system info in your MenuBar. I have temps, CPU usage, network usage, RAM usage, HDD usage, and my Date/Time all handled through iStatMenus. I came from an OC'ed desktop, so i was used to having to have instant information regarding temps and loads. The net/RAM/HDD usage is just handy since I still only have 1GB RAM (damn my laziness!) and I acquire things via torrent quite a bit.

Mine rotates every day between the following;

Screenshot 1
Screenshot 2

Its a dual monitor setup (24" LCD & MacBook), but I deleted the screenshot from the second screen as it only has my Adium contact list on it at the moment.
