Not really a Macro shot as far as I know, but it sort of fits into this category by being a very close-up shot. This is of one of my dogs, Faith, a pure bred Golden Retriever.

Faith

Taken with a Kodak DC215 that I picked up for 50 bucks at a garage sale. Was hardly used, in new condition, with everything included in the original box. Didn't seem like a bad deal.

I posted some a while back here and here. I'm digging around now, it takes me so long to upload anything I don't put much online. I've got something like 8000 pictures on my hard drive right now.

2 Questions:

1.) Where the hell do you live?

2.) WHAT CAMERA IS THAT? If it is an SLR camera, do not answer me becasue I don't wanna sell my CAR to get one. :D

Glad you like it!:D That was taken at 5x *handheld*, with the sun for lighting. I put some of the stuff I have online and a few more from earlier in the summer in one place here. Not all are true macro, but that seems to mean different things to different people anymore. I'll be adding to it soon.

Edro13, okay, I won't tell you then;) Actually I wrote quite a bit about my equipment in one of the other threads I linked to. I live in Ohio, same as Ornery, nowhere exotic by any stretch.

Well, I live in Columbus! My parents live out in the country too and I haven't seen many of those bugs anywhere! Maybe that's becasue your equiptment zooms in so well.

I know I posted this picture earlier in this thread already but realized that it looks much more like a macro shot in its original size ...

macro shot (I optimized it to ~450KB)
