that's the challenge....try to form shapes and look at the coastlines for states that are not landlocked.
 
DELAWARE SUCKS. No one even lives there. 59 miles, and that was after dropping that piece of sh!t state into the goddamn Atlantic. I hope everyone fvcker that lives there dies in a fire tonight.

But with such a small image, it's pretty easy to be 50 miles off with a state like Nebraska.

image size doesn't matter....a larger image just means that there is more room to drop things off. sure you might get more control with a large image, but if you're already 50 miles off, you're obviously not trying to be exact.
