I have, but not as often as I'd like. When I was about 2, my parents took me there, and I was a bit frightened by it all. The last day there (from what I've been told), I fell in love with it. I consider myself lucky. Growing up my parents discovered an unspoiled beach and were able to rent a cottage almost every summer there. There were no people, no roads (dirt tracks were used instead), nothing but sand and water as far as the eye could see. That unspoiled beach is now a hot tourist spot.Originally posted by: ATLien247

The ocean. I'd see the ocean.
You've never seen the ocean?
It's been years since I've been, though I made the drive to VA beach for a day a few weeks ago. The stress of the drive kind of ruined it for me, unfortunately. I only got to spend about 45 minutes in the water, the rest of the trip was spent walking, parking, driving, stressing about getting home in time. I'd love more than anything to be able to go there and relax, no worries.
<Edit> I dunno why it's so special for me. Maybe it has something to do with memories of my mom, or of being relaxed and happy. But I miss it, I really miss it.
