run off a lot of memebers. im not saying all of them were a loss, but OT used to be amazingly active and often enough quite interesting. multiple changes in moderation and posting guidelines have been annoying, in the very least, to absolutely ming-boggling to the point where some people dont even want to post here anymore

-Hire a dedicated admin (I mean dedicated as in that's his only function)
-Revert the forums to back before the "Change of Culture"

If this forum were valuable in any way, we'd actually see some investment of time and money. The mods here are unpaid. Derek and Anand don't pay any attention to it. Hell, even Anandtech.com itself is basically a shell of what it was 5-10 years ago.

These forums are and would be a shitty investment. The shark was jumped when Hot Deals stopped allowing coupon codes. Tim is raking it in at FatWallet, and I'm happy for his business decision. If, hypothetically, I hit the lottery, I wouldn't touch these forums with a recession stick.

So in other words you'd make the rules more lax. That's all nice and good but the problem is that a good part of what makes ATOT as nice as it is, is that it is as civilized as it is (there are to many as it is' here). Other forums may be more no holds bared but the bullying and cynicism ruins a lot in the end. Just look at TFNN.
