i ran window 2000 Pro on a Pentium 166 with 64 MB
but i didn't really use it. it had a dual modem and ran ICS, it was just for sharing internet connection, not for "use" per se

it was fine for that

It will be fine. Just be sure and stop all services that you don't need.

Using those processor intensive apps on a K6-2/350 is going to suck, period.. If you're going to do it, win2k would be by far the best choice, though.

I'm only on a K6-3/400 and it is plenty fast.

I installed Windows 2000 on a 486DX4-100. It had 40 meg of RAM I believe. It ran OK considering it was a 486.

I am currently running Windows 2000 on a Pentium 166 with 160 meg of RAM and a 2 gig hard drive. It runs really well.

win2000 on a pentium 133..
128 meg of memory

runs like a champ..

we have win2000 running on 64megs celeron 500 in the office - works fine

i suspect win2000 will run great on your machine..why don't you scrounge up some memory (either fs/ft forum oe eb@y) so you have 128 megs

shouldn't cost you hardly anything (heck - i bought a "box" of assorted memory on eb@y for $15.00 - got what i needed, and turned around and sold the rest of the memory for $15.00!

my latest trick with my old p133 gateway computer...installed a second pci graphics card (got it free) - got two old fifteen inch monitors (free)
bingo, dual monitors running under win2000!
