9/4 EDIT: Pretend you're on the Price is Right, craigslist-style. How much would you pay for a vintage, cherry oak bedroom set which includes: a vanity, mirror, chair, bedside table, dresser, and matching shelves and a small clock? Everything is in good-fair condition, sold by a private seller who is moving to London. How much would you offer if delivery was included? (she can borrow her roommte's SUV)



I'm going to pick up this oversized beanbag tonight after work.

I hope it fits into my little Civic... it only cost $20, and I'm excited about adding it to my room. I just moved into a new bedroom (with a little balcony and TONS of space) and will be redecorating soon...

I'm looking for a desk, chair, shelf, and fun little knick-knacks (wooden sculptures, cool artsy things, etc.), so if you know of anyone in the LA area having a sale, let me know!

That's a crock. If it would have broken about 3 weeks ago you could have gotten a really nice one they were selling for $50. I bought it and mom didn't like it so I returned it. She still wants one so I have to go hunting again. Time for ebay again I suppose.
 
If you like bean bag chairs.... you should SERIOUSLY check out Lovesacs.... they're bean bag chairs on steroids

Why do you want to carry around a brick in your purse? I have a circa 1997 Sony cell phone lying around; that thing is bulky.

Seriously though, can't you do a lot better with $25?
 
Lovesacs are awesome though! I went to the Spectrum and just stayed in one of them for an hour or so reading.. they're so comfy.. 😀

Are you sure there's no way to get a decent phone? I have freaking six nokias sitting around that I all got for free. None of them are sprint though.

My friends who have sprint just bitch to sprint whenever their phones act up and they give them another one for free. And isn't 8 months within warranty period for both sprint and the manufacturer?

The bean bag is ENORMOUS... I had the craziest time stuffing it into the backseat of my Honda Civic, and had to move the driver and passenger seats ALL the way up... my nose practically touched the windshield during the drive home. I saw a similar model on eBay with a retail value of $605+... :Q I love it, though... fits perfectly on my balcony, so I can sit out there and read on sunny afternoons. 🙂

Question for furniture fanatics:

How much would you pay for a vintage, solid cherry wood dresser, vanity, chair, mirror, bedside table, and matching clock and shelves?

I'm going to go pick it up tonight after work and am afraid I offered too much...

It's in okay condition... some dents and scratches, as it was passed down to the girl from her grandmother. She's selling it cuz she's moving to London. How much would you pay for it including delivery to my apartment?
 
this is how I see it

solid cherry wood dresser -200
vanity -100
chair -50
mirror -25
bedside table -25
matching clock and shelves -25

so that's $425

with shipping about $500.......how much did u pay?
