The A-10 is my favorite plane of all time. It's a fucking nose tackle with a cannon. It's a flying tank. You can fly it back to base and land it with major parts having been blown off.

The pics of these planes landing during Desert Storm are legendary. That plane was built to take an ass kicking and still deliver.

That can also be said of Junkers 87 recon/bomber plane. It would get to a very high altitude, turn off its engines for quietness, and take recon photoes.

My favorite too. I used to live a half hour from whiteman afb and A-10s would fly over my house all the time. They flew so low you could see the mounts on the wings for the bombs. When I was little I would always run outside and watch them fly by. The B-2 would fly over almost weekly, i would always go outside and watch it too
