A thought struck me on those manufacturer's and constructor's that didn't do to well at all, or those that made an impact, then went away in F1 and Indy/CART.
We all know names like Williams, Lola, Ferrari, Mercedes, Ford, Reynard, Ilmor, etc. But I am trying to list those that might be forgotten or hard to remember. Help me by adding some in.
-list updated/fixed--
Indy/CART
engine:
Porsche
Alfa Romeo
Buick
Offenhauser
Novi
Chassis:
Galmer
Gurney - American Eagle - Rahal
March
Parnelli
F1
Chassis:
Sauber
Arrows
Tyrell
Ligiers
Engine:
I am drawing a blank here.
Also with F1, the ones you might see today are the spiritual successors of older engines and such. Was Renault derived from Benneton?
I thought this might interesting if the Garage crew can chime in with this.
