Let's make some donations friday.

I don't have much(any) extra money, but I "donate" when something benefits me also. When I buy a HumbleBundle game I give more than the average, and over Xmas I depleted a prepaid Visa by giving to Libre.fm, the developers of DeaDBeeF, and some commercial developers of a magazine who graciously gave me review copies.

Donating is not about gaining anything, sadly most think the way you do.

I spend about two days a week at a community service center where I sort through and package food for people on an assistance program. I don't donate money, or food, however.

Edit: TiMeWaRp!

You posted four hours in the op and now say two days, is this court-ordered service or a school requirement?

Well actually, It's six hours, spread across two days. And I go there voluntarily.
The reason I posted four hours before, is because I had a brainfart.

Gonna give some money for ALS today.

I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW ABOUT IT! But mainly just ATOT

Well I'm losing my job today so cash is out. Should probably give some time to the local no kill shelter, probably next week...

also i have my own dogs to worry about. BUT, i would pay lots of money if you and hal9k would both hop in a car and disappear. that's a cause i would gladly donate to.

lolz...yeah not sure what money you plan on using

My wife used to donate her time to Meals on Wheels. She expressed an interest in doing it again recently. I've never been one to do that but at work we were taking up a collection for the co-worker who suffered a stroke recently to help him and his family get through this tough time and I donated $20. Nice to give money that will go 100% to someone in need.

 for anyone who donates to a good cause like Alkemyst did.

Sorry for trying to get people to donate.

Again, despite how few in reality really do give money; ATOT proves we all do.

Your own dogs? I have two, one just passed away on Monday and the 'left over' supplies were worth a $250 credit back at the vet. Being the daily meds including insulin; I was spending quite a bit on 'my own dogs'.

Not to mention I have 5 indoor cats that are not part of the 40lbs of dry food and 140 cans of Friskies I go through each week.

Great member of the society you are! Probably feeding your dogs shit food and never taking them to the vet properly.

loser.
