It is part of the show. The show had a good following when it originally aired in the 1970's. People with the most outlandish costumes were often picked to be contestants, so the crazier the outfit the better then.

Ive been watching this on and off for a while. Sometimes its likeable (reminds me of the original which I also used to watch), most of the time its not. Wayne Brady is ok as host but that fake voice he is using is very, very annoying. You know when someone is trying too hard to be something he isnt, and thats him.

If you can manage to ignore that, it gets interesting sometimes.
