Lol the whole thing is pretty long... it basically talks about how he walked away from Evanescence in Germany, didnt really pack anything and etc and talked about him and Amy have just been having alot of problems getting along at a artistic level or something and about how it was agreed for him to leave they said some stuff about whos gona be brave and leave Evanescence to try to make it as a solo artisit or whatever and then some stuff and then talks about how he does a Cameo in RE2, some songs for RE2 and The Punisher and how hes writing songs for Avril Lavigne ( ) and some other bands...

Ben Moody was present to accept the award with the rest of the band... that was him in the long-ass goa-tee - lol.

And the band also won pre-show for Best Hard Rock Performance.

I didn't get to see it live, but I wonder why Ben came up with them...I know he was a huge part of Fallen, and Evanescence themselves, but for him to leave and then come accept the award w/ Amy is weird - Especially when they only announced "Amy Lee of Ev..." in the beginning of the show...

Either way - Congrats to them on New Artist and Hard Rock - I was kinda suprised to hear that they beat out Half-Dollar, but I'm not gonna complain!

I said this in the other thread, but I thought Amy Lee was being pretty cold to the rest of the guys by not even acknowledging their presence. They announced the winner, she kissed her bf and bolted up to the stage while the other guys a few rows back were trying to get up there with her. She made her speech and thanked others for helping "me"... thanked her bf, and thanked the radio stations for putting a chick on the radio. Umm.. sorry Amy... the dudes behind you had quite a bit to do with it all also.

exactly. this band gets airplay because they have a chick frontman. all the band photos feature her. and she gets up there on stage and takes credit for everything like that. gimme a f'ing break.

Well I don't think she should've acted that way this time around... Ben had a lot to do with Fallen especially in writing credits. When she does make it on her own, she has every right to do that. Maybe next year. That was a slap in the face to the man standing right next to her.

Why was Fountains of Wayne nominated as best new artist? Their latest is their 3rd album and they've been around for over 5 years!

Yeah, I felt she was ignoring the rest of her band too. It's not like she would be there without them. I love then, but I'm getting the feeling that this band won't be around too long unless she changes her egotistical behavior. She already chased Ben away.

yeah, it's really a joke. it should be titled, "Best Artist that the Popular People in the Music Industry Finally Recognize as Someone Worth Paying Attention To."

Yeah, but Evanescence is actually pretty damn good.

I noticed that she took credit for everything too, kinda turned me off to her. Sad, because they are a talented band, one of the few 'new artists' that I like. Unfortunate as it is, Best New Artist usually is the kiss of death (except in the case of Christina Ag.)

As I understand it, the creative side of the band was entirely between Amy and Ben. The "other guys" weren't a part of the band at signing and are just kind of hired musicians that allowed them to do live shows. W/o Ben I fully expect the next album to suck as Amy will most likely be creating all the music solo.

Just saw the clip. Can't believe she was going on about thanking all the fans that kept calling and requesting their stuff, since it normally wouldn't have been heard otherwise due to the fact that no one wanted to listen to a chick and her piano?
