Let's get Fired Saga. I thought all stuff is archived but seems like my old Let's get fired links are gone.
Anyway, conclusion to my struggle with my VP of Engineering. Through an unusual turn of events, the VP is getting fired today. Basically he took a 1week vacation during a very rough time with a huge customer...and i was the one who resolved the issue and won brownie points. The CEO and president i guess then decided to look seriously into my complaints over the year...and it seems they too have had a lot of challenges with him but kinda pushed it aside coz of politics or whatever. They apologized to me and said they should have taken it more seriously. The other fact that the VP was quite an ass to the customers also sealed his fate.
He will be asked to leave today...he does not know it yet. I feek bad for him..despite our differences we worked relatively well together and we have a good understanding of each others' style and what to avoid or remiss.
