This has been beaten to death on LS1GTO.com. There was a big meetup in the Northeast and as people were leaving, several people did stupid shit and either caused or nearly caused accidents. Most of the people in that club (called GONE) are decent, but as with most groups of people, there are some bad eggs and these morons are poster children for dumbasses of the year.

The popular media demonizing of performance cars and street racing and associated laws and increasingly harsher penalties is a fairly recent trend.

Just doing my duty of speaking out against expansion of government power and intrusion into daily lives from the perspective of an enthusiast who has to be wary of blanket laws that negatively impact 99.9% of the population because of what 0.1% idiots cause.

All it would take for me is a little tire chirp, blower whine, or exhaust noise for some tree hugging cop who drives a Prius off duty to have a personal grudge and be able to nail me for street racing some day because of vague blanket laws arisen through public ignorance and obsession with safety when they see shit like this on TV.

Tell me if you were a cop that you wouldn't go out of your way to LOOK for some excuse to throw the book out at every lifted SUV you saw, even if they weren't actually doing anything wrong, just because of your own personal biases. Cops and judges are human beings and are influenced by media and culture as well.

It was quite a few years ago actually. I haven't been pulled over in probably a decade. :D

The Guy in the black GTO that hit the car probably came back.

You can even see him pull over in the closing seconds of the video.

I can only imagine the glee I would feel as a prosecutor if I became aware of the existence of a tape like that. What a bunch of jackasses.

If someone plowed into those guys and killed them, preferably an 18 wheeler, and also killed the stupid people watching, it would have made the world a safer place. Fvcking retards.

Stupidity knows no bounds.

True, but 99+% of the Vette guys I ever see are driving very conservatively. When I see a Mustang, GTO, Camaro, Riced Honda, etc, the odds seem to be a lot higher that the person is driving like a scalded rabbit on meth. Truth be told, I also see people driving H2's like idiots as well.

Agreed. There are too many GTO's (and Scion TC's [LOL]) doing stupid shit at car meets. I guess because the GTO is cheap (used), teenagers can get themselves into a V8 RWD muscle car.

That?s pretty damn stupid on a busy highway.

And smoking out the highway, WTF? That was completely retarded

No wonder none of them could properly drift their cars from the slip road onto the highway, those cars are like boats.
