I mean, there will always be radical racism wherever you go, but I think it would go to show you how increasingly intolerant this nation has come towards such views. Let alone the fact that Obama has inspired all of kinds of people throughout the nation, I think the potential fallout would be pretty serious.

Yep, I think they would find hell coming down on them. Right now they are mostly tolerated and mocked because they flirt with illegality but don't press it. Given that the gov sees terrorism as a witch it can do whatever to, if the standing president was taken out by these groups they'd be driven very deep underground and anything overt would be shut down, rather like neonazis in Germany who cannot so much as deny the holocaust.

I'd be more worried about riots that strike out against people that have nothing to do with the assassination.

But in today's language/grammar usage, an attempt is more closely aligned/associated with failure. Once success has been achieved, the "attempt" part is usually displaced.

1. Racial progress made over last few decades -- interracial couples are no longer seen as different (unless you are > 60, Southern or Religious Right). Blacks, Hispanics and other minorities are able to obtain access to the best schools and offices in the nation based on merit instead of family history (Bush, Gore, Kennedy, etc legacy "rules"). Minorities have made it to the SCOTUS, AG of the US, deans of schools, etc.

2. Affirmative action is a red herring to divert from the fact that it was needed to address the situation this country was experiencing. Namely the latent and in some cases blatant racism that was going on in hiring and admissions processes of major companies and universities.

3. Your psychotic if you truly believe that euthanasia is a viable solution for any problem anywhere, ever.

I'm kind of confused as to how white supremacist groups haven't already been taken care of.

Anyway, there are two well known skin safe-houses in the metro area I live near, as well as several less known ones. I'm fairly certain that they will not be standing the day after such an assassination, as well as the rats living inside.

The only reason they still exist to this day is probably because all they do is bitch, protest, and run a website. So long as they stay in their place, I don't think anything bad would happen to them. But hey, what do I know?
