Your emails suck. If I received such half-assed responses to my inquiries, I too would start to wonder if you were legit or not. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one on eBay who can write proper email communications. Everyone else writes like they're six.

I find it a bit ironic when I see E-Bay sellers squirm after they've sold something, and then wished they hadn't. It seems like all sellers take a hard stand against buyers that wish they hadn't won an auction. This may sound familiar to you:
Non-Paying Bidder Policy: If you're not going to pay, don't bid. You're wasting our time and all the other bidder's time. We will leave the appropriate feedback against the Non-Paying Bidder as well as take the appropriate measures to make sure he/she doesn't bid again. All ebay users with 0 feedback AND less than 3 months of ebay presence must send the seller an email to confirm the intent to purchase. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel the bid

Perhaps the way to "play this out" is to ship him what he ordered for the price he agreed to pay.

sure. so the OP has to go buy a double kit then send it to him. since the auction was for a double and he sent a single one.

anyway both were off on this. the seller didnt exactly stay in touch and the buyer is a nutcase.

bah .. there are good and bad sellers .. good and bad buyers ..

i won an auction for a CD. i waited 2 weeks for it and realized the item wasn't being shipped. I won a previous auction from him and the item came in with no problems. He had a problem answering emails. The 2nd item i won, never came. I just filed a payback and he refunded my moolah and an explaination. I didn't get my item, i still got my money .. problem solved. He left me positive feedback and i haven't left any for him.

Yeah, I will have to agree that you handled this poorly. I do find it laughable the attitude the guy has though. Like if you file a complaint with Paypal or Ebay they are going to come to your house and rough you up until you make good on the deal. As soon as the guy started making threats, I would have immediately refunded his money through Paypal and told him to kiss my ass........

I had a buyer like this one time also. I sent them at least ten emails and no reply. After 10 days, I relisted the item and then resold it. On the 11th day I received a Paypal payment for thie item. I immediately refunded them and told them sorry, the item is gone. She tried to pull this contract BS and that she was going to notify Ebay etc. I told her to do what she wanted but I would do nothing further. Luckily that was the last I heard from her....

Won't all your buyers be getting back in touch with you over the dual vs. single light issue? I would probably be OK with getting a refund and keeping the mdse. The EZRider buyer is a bit keyed up I'd say.

So you send the wrong item and the other guy is the asshole? You should ask the seller if he would rather have his money refunded or the items he ordered. If he chooses the items then you should deliver the items. Either way you should get a negitive for sucking at selling.

Honestly - you should have credited him back whatever refund you offered right after you clicked on the SEND button on the email that said you would refund him.

Right there, and then, after that point and the money was refunded, you would have been the good guy and no matter what he said from that point wouldn't reflect poorly on you at all.

find/buy the items he bought... send to him ... and give him a refund for being a seller having a bad week.

there is a seller in Missouri that screwed me over for $800, similar to how you are screwing over this guy. One day in the future I will visit him and hurt him. Perhaps this guy you are screwing over is just as adamant about eye for an eye.

Thanks, I'll be adding this psycho to my banned bidders list.

You should still be refunding the guy. Just get rid of him.

Ya, just refund the guy and let him keep the free thing. If he leaves negative feedback, just post your response to it and be honest (ie. you realized you made a mistake and you offered to refund the amount and let him keep something for free). As long as you're honest people respect that. But ya, the guy has a problem.

Oh good, I thought it was just me from all the other comments in the thread. TechKnight, your communication/email skills need ALOT more work. You definately deserve the negative on this one.

You are right KK he isn't , if he has sent a refund. I was under the impression that the seller/original poster in this thread decided not to send a refund

I agree. 75% of the ebay emails I get are terrible. All lowercase, half the words misspelled, no punctuation (all sentences as one, including closing/signature! Some obviously don't read my email and even send answers that are completely different from what I asked. There are so many foreign ebayers and often they don't seem to understand my email, nor can I understand theirs half the time.

Bullocks on that.

OK, maybe he's not the wordiest seller in the book, but he writes back "I will be sending you a refund" and within 24 hours, this douchebag sends him 6 threatening e-mails AND files a complaint.

Fvck that. Ebay is a two way street. Ask questions, give the other party at LEAST 24 hours to respond or take action. Not everyone is a loser whacko who admittedly has all the time in the world to chase a $10 item. By his response you would think he bought a $10000 computer and was accidentally sent an eMachine.

At the end of the day, he was offered a refund. WTF more does he want? He didn't get the item, so he gets his money back AND the other item for free.

He can leave the negative if he wants. What is this crap about "Sending me what you agreed to?" It was a MISTAKE. Cry a river, build a bridge, get over it! This entitlement crap has gone way too far. At this point, I wouldn't want to do business with the seller so I'd buy from someone else ANYWAY!

TK: Be more verbose in your communications.

Otherwise, you're right. The buyer is a complete assnugget. Refund him, tell him to sod off, grow the fvck up and stop contributing to all the morons on Ebay.

BTW, I recently got a feedback that said:
The best transaction I have ever had....very clear communication & fast delivery
:D

I agree with Jzero, there was faults on both sides. Neither perfect in the scenario. But you can tell just by the sheer number of replies, that there is something inherently wrong with the buyer. He seems a little like a loose cannon just waiting for someone to piss him off.
