I understand that they have a different way of doing it over there. My main question is that if he had done that here in the same ad would it have been considered thread-crapping or not. Yes I do have (open to other offers) in the thread but usually when I place an ad here people usually PM me or e-mail me with their offer. That was what I was expecting there. I now believe that he did not thread-crap according to ARS rules but again, my question is concerning the Anandtech rules.

I was hoping to get people who have traded here before to answer this question for me.

unless u explicity state...all offers can only be done thru email then no it cant be thread crapping....lowballing...or anything...even here on AT ive seen threads here where ppl have posted their offers and nobodys claimed thread crapping...you owe the guy an apology i think for letting things get a bit out of hand.

I agree, he didn't say something idiotic like $75 shipped, he made a reasonable offer if you were willing to bargain slightly. I would've declined the offer and amended the original post to state "email with offers".

Okay.

I don't really think that is bargaining slightly. I mean from $310 + Shipping (which would have be $360) to $300 Shipped. That is a decrease in $60.

Yeah I guess that is what I get for assuming :). From now on I think I will just leave the (open to other offers) out of my thread, and if they want to offer something different then they can.

$60 off of $360 is only 17%, most people tip more than that.

Now this is thread crapping... I just spent 200 bucks on shopping!

No he was not thread crapping, he was bargaining with you IMO.

Hmm, Okay.

My thinking was that for $360 it is a pretty damn good deal considering it goes for $500 new and it is in "like-new" condition.

Oh well, I am not going to argue about this, there is no point to.

Thanks alot! :)
