Too spoiled by 48xx pricing, aren't we 🙂

I used to never go over $150 on video cards, but now pretty content with paying $250-$300 for a video card. In the light of cheap cpu/mobo deals in courtesy of fry's and MC's, spending more on video cards seems to make sense with their increased role and relative importance.

As for 470 being under $300, that makes it a very viable solution now (about time, really). Fermi reviews and owners claim 470 is quite different from 480 in terms of thermals and acoustics for what it's worth.
