No, they don't. That's the nice thing: complete and total anonymity. I'm renting spot number 36 and my roomie from hell is renting spot number 35. Those were the only open spots when we first got here. As soon as someone moves and a spot closer to my appartment opens up, it's like a freaking race to the management office to sign up for it. But neither of us end up ever getting them.

The guy could just come back the next day and screw up the car that's parked at the spot, since now he knows only the owner of the parking spot will have his car there ... I agree with Mallow, leave a note first and he parks there again, tow it ...

30 seconds or 30 days, IT'S A RESERVED SPOT. That car shouldn't have been there PERIOD.

When I'm faced with the same situation, and know I'll be right back down, I double park and NOT IN SOMEONE'S spot, with my hazard flashers on. THis is a universal sign for "I'll be right back."

Nah Grissom and CSI will be able to match the paint from the keys of the cavalier owner to the paint of his roomates car! TV is great.

I usually leave a note first, then if I see the car again on my spot, I'd call the tow truck.

 

My dad once confronted some dude who parked in our reserved spot when we lived in an apartment. The guy was a total asshole - the first thing he said was, "Well how do I know this is YOUR spot?" and when my dad told him it was reserved, the dude said, "Well how come I don't have one then?"

I was scared that they were going to get into a fisticuffs. Luckily my mom was with us, so she dragged my dad into the apartment before that happened.

Heh, I never had a reserved spot when I lived in apartments. I felt bad one time cuz my parents came and visited us. My dad didn't see the sign and his car got towed He was fricken heated!!!

I just latched onto the back of the car with my truck and towed it ( I told him I would do that if he parked there again)

I thought about that, but then I'd be liable for any damages to the driveline. If it's gonna get fvcked up, may as well let some other company pay the price

This is why I am glad I don't live in a fvcked up city with crappy parking. Never been anywhere in Bham that you can't find a space. Why do people even attempt to park in a reserved spot? Do they not realize what it means? Freaking morons deserve to get towed.
