At least it caused some damage before it was shot. A shame it didn't go for the throat....

Regardless of what the man was doing that prompted the attack, it's a near miss with a tragic situation. I personally hope the injured hunter makes a full recovery. Seems like this should be in the P&N forum, that's the direction it's going to turn if comments follow the above trend.

I'm pro hunting, and pro abortion. There's no reason for hunting animals just for something to shoot though. There's plenty of deer that can be shot. You can eat those, and there's too many around.

Fixed... There is a massive difference you dimwit.

I'm only anti-hunting of cool animals. :awe: Leopards are endangered too.

theres not much danger in it tho, to be honest. deer are difficult in some ways, but pretty much the only danger you face is falling out of a tree or shooting yourself. some hunters hunt dangerous animals because of the danger inherent to tracking those animals.

That's still lame. If they want danger they can bow hunt gazelle in Africa. Wandering the grassland with a single shot weapon should be enough of a rush, and gazelle probably tastes good.

Well then he got exactly what he wanted. It wouldn't be dangerous if no one ever got hurt or killed.

I don't think many people want gazelle skin though.

Too lazy to look it up right now, but the number of people who get seriously injured or die from falling from tree stands is amazing. Many of them drunk, of course. :p

There are some animals that you wouldn't think are incredibly dangerous, but are. Elk? Moose? Dangerous! There's an awesome Keith Mark clip where he's bow hunting a HUGE moose and the cameraman blunders, trying to get a better view. The moose charges in from 20 or 30 yards away & Keith nails it at 2 paces. He was literally inches from death. Not sure if that clip has been aired on television yet or not. If not, it will be on The 4CE. He showed it to us when he came to visit our school with a couple other guys from the Outdoor Channel. Awesome guys to get to know.

Using bows and arrows, guns, or other distance weapons is pathetic. Go make a knife out of some sharpened rocks and take on a bear -- then you're a hunter. Otherwise, you're just some wuss with a gun who thinks they're hot stuff.

People in war situations are different because they can also wield ranged weapons. Animals can't, so there's a pretty distinct disadvantage. Hunters are the equivalent of the equivalent to bullies on a playground.

for all you know they were park rangers hunting it because it has become a man eater.

Even if you have zero respect for human life and an obscene fascination with large predators who are dangerous to humans you shouldn't jump to conclusions and wish death on the people.

You don't have a clue to what you are talking about. Hunting is a needed necessity and is regulated very strictly

Doesn't make using a gun any more justifiable. It just means they lack the ability to defeat it in combat, and they're getting paid by the government to be wusses. As for those the animal killed already -- I guess they should have learned how to defend themselves a little better.

I never said hunting wasn't needed. What I said was that these aren't real hunters; real hunters would keep a level playing field with animals.

P&N is somewhere around here oh and I personally wouldn't want a fetus head hanging on my wall.
