go to lenovo.com/visa

go to lenoxo X120e, and customize. upgrade to e-350. add bluetooth dongle. go to operating system and remove Windows , and change to PC DOS 2000.

at the end there is a code for 5% off (you have to have it over $300 to use it, so you have to add minimum the e-350 and bluetooth dongle, or you could do the 6 cell battery or something). It will have a button on the right that says activate coupon.

5% off

brings the whole thing down to $302 ish + tax.

you now have order probably the best amd fusion laptop. granted i am not holding my breath these actually shipping but... yeah.

I believe this also works at american express site (i did it on my own company EPP site, before i found out about the other sites for non EPP people)

Looks like they start shipping 3/8, so these are pre-orders. Makes for a cheap way to get one, though I would at minimum want the 6-cell battery, faster CPU and Bluetooth, which bumps the price up to within $5 of the recent deal on the HP dm1z which already has all three of these upgrades, plus includes Windows 7 in that price and the third GB of RAM. The X120e does weigh 0.1 pound less than the dm1z when both has the 6-cell. The dm1z has a tiny bit better battery life according to reviews. The dm1z comes with a 7200RPM HDD while the X120e defaults to 5400RPM.

So, if you want it cheaper, lighter (with 3-cell) or the supposedly really excellent Lenovo keyboard, then the Lenovo is it. Oh yeah, the matte screen too, plus the eraser pointer.

If you want it loaded, then the (now expired) HP deal was better.

Me? Give me the lower price but make it the HP model, with the Lenovo screen and Lenovo keyboard. :D Oh yeah, and reverse the Ctrl/Fn keys.

Geez, I'm never satisfied.

ctrl / fn key is annoying, but there is a bios optionfor it on lenovo machines (there is on my work machine).

the keyboard though is much better at least from having used an x100e. i think it looks nicer too

By the way this appears to be dead now, the option for PC DOS didn't seem to be available anymore. Doesn't bode well for my order shipping, hopefully the discount wasn't a mistake or something.

according to the giant thread on slickdeals, someone called about the pc dos orders, and also some glitch with getting adobe acrobat X for some super huge discount.

i guess the people who ordered with the acrobat glitch arent getting theirs, but the PC DOS orders will actaully ship.

Missed the DOS deal, this forum is terrible for jumping on deals:/
Put in 1 order with acrobat X, but it wasn't all that huge of a discount.
400$ with some options selected to make it comparable to the dm1z

Sweet, was your estimated ship date 3/4 as well? That's what mine is, would be nice if they're getting some shipped out early.

Wish i got in on this deal. If any of you guys with the DOS x120e's deem it not "exactly what you were looking for" I'd gladly take it off your hands with paypal funds :)

The title for the thread is kind of misleading though. My order ended up being $365 after tax (upgraded to six cell battery & tax was $32). The $300 is for pre-tax, and with a small 4 cell battery.

yeah well i mean if you ordered it with just the BT + coupon or no BT it was $300. plus some states dont have sales tax (like oregon). i'm not sure what people usually do for tax on hot deals. is it assumed you should put it.

also on the 6 cell battery , i found it weird that the stock was 3 cells, but the 6 cell was only like 40% more milliwatt hours so i just got the 3 cell.
