Lenovo ThinkPads - 10% off T61, 20% off X61

Stackable coupons for 20% off X61 and 10% off T61 ThinkPad systems. These are already good prices IMO and most people know I love ThinkPads, but just had to share.

Coupon code: USPANNIVERSARY

Credit goes to Buy Logic

I miss my Dell 700m's form factor (12"), it was sooo portable.

I spec'd out a loaded X61 for around $896 after coupon, great deal!

You need to pick up a loaded Portege R500-S5004 for yourself, RossMAN. 🙂

I'm just now breaking in my Dell Latitude D630 which is almost 4 months old.

I'll consider it in another year or so 😉

Does this apply for the X61s too? The X61s is the only one with the UltraLight screen.

This is a really good deal. It's even better than an employee discount (15%). I paid $1200 for my X61s and that's with a employee discount. Mine's also loaded with biometrics, bluetooth, 8 cell, etc.

Rossman, it's time to trade in the D630 and get a X. :- )

The Portege feels too fragile compared to a ThinkPad.

Nothing is better than employee discount. All coupons apply to employee purchases too.

How do you like the D630 ? Does its screen has the problems of D620 (graniness, horrible viewing angles, not bright enough ?)

I also miss the 700m. I hate the resolution of the X60/x61 series (1024 x 768 is just too small).

I am currently still using the Asus A8JS. It is a great little machine but battery life sucks (~2 hrs max b/c of nvidia 7700 GPU in it - gaming powerhouse but taxes the battery)

The Vostro 1400s are lately appealing a lot to me (~600-650 price tag with good battery life and 8400m graphics). Just not worth to pay the extra ~250-300 for IBM T series even after the coupons. Other day, i had a refurb Vostro 1400 in my cart for $409 (Celeron M 😉, 1GB, wxga+, integrated graphics...almost bought it but... )

to Apex: I dont see Ross spending ~2k+ for any laptop in this lifetime 😛 maybe if Toshiba brings on those 50% coupons that Dell had 😉 , but then perhaps he may still go for the Dell. You know there is something called "coupon/deals loyalty" also 😀

Are you positive? The last coupon Lenovo released didn't apply to Lenovo employee purchases. If they don't stack, then this deal is better than the 15% employee discount. I know because my ThinkPad was purchased through the program.

IMO, the T61 is the best overall business laptop. The D630 comes in at a close second place.

I think Ross has a little bit of Dell fanboy in him. 😉

Yeah, I traded in my D620 for a T61. The T61 is nice, but I continue to drool over that R500.

12.1" LED indoor/outdoor TFT
1.72 lbs with SSD drive
64GB SSD
7mm DVD+/-RW double layer burner
Fingerprint scanner
10/100/1000
802.11a/b/g/n
5800mAh LiOh
From 0.77" thick

That's simply incredible.

D630's battery life is far better than T61's battery life. We obviously dont want Ross without a computer when hes traveling 😉 and there is no AC outlet in sight.

2.9 to 3.48 lbs with standard XGA TFT (depending on battery), and 2.73 to 3.3 lbs with ultralight XGA TFT.

looks like the deal is dead. i tried to apply the coupon and it didnt work.
was a hot deal though!!

I was going to jump on this deal 2 days back, but then I came across Lenovo's return policy on their Website... and I am like WTF.

There's still the anniversary sale, but I need to call them up tomorrow to find out the exact details of the policy.

I had a 700m, it was the biggest piece of crap ever(crap 3:4 scale keyboard, defective audio input, unstable, never returned from hibernate or standby...) Should have never taken a risk with a Dell.

www.recall700m.com is all you need to know.

I like the Toshiba R500 12.1" notebooks too, good keyboard, good quality for a Toshiba, etc.

What is that NV thing mean? Pardon my ignorance. I had trouble looking for info on it online.
