While I can understand a preference for the left side for ultimate convenience, I wouldn't think one would complain about thatMaybe its just me!

I'm just curious -- how can you "garuntee" me anything? Have you used one? Have you used a T43? And I would "garuntee" you it runs cooler than an i9300 w/Go 6800, except I don't have a 9300 so I'm not brash enough to make that assertion. But I can tell that you in a stock setup, it is highly probably that the GMA900 will produce less heat than your Go 6800; and since all other components are the same there's not much more to skew heat dissipation. Now it comes down to the cooling system and I'd be willing to bet a cooling system designed by IBM engineers for a chassis that is dual core ready will have better cooling than a 17" DTR designed by Dell.Originally posted by: andrewbabcockI garuntee you its hotter and louder than an i9300 and i know the gpu isn't as good. That's a negative ghost rider!Originally posted by: Abhi
"On the negative side, memory is now more of a pain to change. Previously, Thinkpads had one memory slot on the bottom and another under the keyboard. Now both memory slots are located directly underneath the touchpad. Removal of the palm rest is similar to that of a keyboard, requiring the removal of four screws and then popping the palm rest off."
So will upgrading the laptops memory void the warranty? Because you have to open the touchpad etc...
no not all ...this is part of the reason for the keyboard removal icons on bottom

Well, i don't need to complain because my optical drive is on the left. I garuntee you its hotter and louder than an i9300 and i know the gpu isn't as good. Dude, this lappy sucks

I'm Considering getting this model, although it's somewhat over my budget. I saw that the lowest price they have is $1040 and it doesn't include a DVD drive or 512 ram. I first was looking into the Z60m but that thing is huge and I need it so i can take it to school.
I was also considering the R50e but its an older model and also doesnt have a touch pad only the little eraser thing. The R51e is also up for consideration and I think that has the touchpad.
Anyways thanks for the link to review.
