Are Lenovos now made in China or just Chinese owned? Does that even impact the decision on getting one though? ...as most are already Chinese made....
Lenovo computers have been made in China for decades and what used to be IBM personal group was acquired by Lenovo, thus owned by China, since 2005.
Now Lenovo is adding a very small amount of domestic creation in the US (<200 employees) in the upcoming years. They are doing so to have a better web customization experience. Currently for their very high price laptops (think business thinkpads that cost >$1200 to $3000+) you can do a single custom built computer on their website. Problem is it will take a couple of weeks to get to you since it still made in china and it has to be shipped to the US. Lenovo is going to have some domestic construction for such a computers so they can have less than a 3 day turnaround for these custom built computers with such great margins.
Lenovo also currently has domestic repair centers. I have owned for several months now a refurbished thinkpad edge I got off Lenovo outlet website. I am doing this from memory since I do not have the box in front of me but it was refurbished in Tennessee or Kentucky.

That said the vast majority, >90% of computers are made in China. They may have individual parts that are made in Taiwan, Malaysia, USA, Germany, Israel, etc but the actually assembly of most computers have been done in China were labor is cheap and they have created an infrastructure and culture where it is so easy to get manual assembly work for cheap.
