Bummer - had a 09/16 ship date until this AM - it just got changed to 10/14 - better than most here but disappointing nonetheless. This is a pi$$poor performance by their support team - they should have notified me directly and not just updated that date on their website, and they should have done so ahead of time.

If higher resolution is too small for you, you aren't going to notice the stretch if you turn down the resolution to whatever low res you like. I agree that they should offer higher res netbooks.

lol the hell I wouldn't, there's a reason no netbook offers a higher res, because screen size is relative to optimal resolution, you don't just cram any number of pixels you want into any sized screen, it doesn't work that way.

You're wrong. The HP mini-note offers 1280 res and people like it a lot, but it's more expensive. The reason the screen size is so low is because Intel imposed a max res limit of 1024x600 on Intel-based netbooks to prevent competition with full-fledged laptops. If you don't have a problem with that, cool. But some people like to be able to see more than 1/3 of a page at once...

Oh you mean the $550 Mini-Note with the underpowered C7? That's a joke of a netbook, if you want a higher resolution you buy a 12" laptop, if you want a higher res than that you buy a 14" laptop, you want higher than that you buy a 17" laptop. What website are you viewing on the go that isn't optimized for 1024 pixels?

They really need to put the VIA Nano in the Mini-Note to compete. If they did, it would be worth the price considering is faster than the Atom. But it looks like either HP can't get rid of what they have in stock or VIA can't provide the processors still. Then again, Intel can hardly keep up with demand either.

If you can find me a $500 laptop that weighs 3 lbs. (or less) at any of those screen sizes and >= the 2133's resolution, I would buy it. Yeah...I don't think so either.

Has the nano been released already?

I ordered this S10 a month ago, and then realized that the ship date was moved a months away. I could not wait so I got a refund. I recently bought the Asus 1000H for $460 shipped and has been the best laptop I have ever owned. The computer is really fast, responds well, boots quick, no problems whatsoever.
