Hello.
A small question about the Core 2 Duo CPUs in the Lenovo C200 laptop. As far as I know all Core 2 cpus support the Intel VT technology (for hardware-assisted virtualization). However, on my Lenovo C200 the CPU doesn't seem to support it (I tried on both windows and linux, with both VmWare and VirtualBox). In addition, under linux I don't see the VMX flag in /proc/cpuinfo.
I tried upgrading to the latest BIOS for my laptop but it didn't help at all. Does anybody know how can I enable this feature in my laptop's CPU?

Alex.

Actually not all of them support VT. Its actually very hard to decifer which CPUs support it or not based on Intels own core listings. Just this past week i was listening to a podcast that mentioned this and even gave a link to a sight that listed which CPUs supported it and which didn't. But i can't remeber which one it was.

So basicly you won't be able to enable it. If it was availiblle it would be there already. So it seams your CPU doesn't have it.
