• 2.1ghz Athlon II M320 dual-core
• 3GB RAM (max 8GB)
• ATI Radeon HD 4200 video
• DVD Burner
• 15.6" widescreen (this is the longer widescreen) 1366 x 768
• Webcam (0.3mp)
• 160gb 5400rpm HDD
• Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

Impressions:

• Really like the keyboard
• Numpad is thin, but usable
• Screen is bright, although white gets washed-out noticably
• Don't care for the trackpad
• Neat texture inside & out
• Feels surprisingly light for 5.95 pounds
• Function key is where the CTRL key should be, annoying
• Build quality is much better than the cheap plastic Compaqs (still plastic tho)

If you need a decent, cheap laptop for yourself or somebody else, this is a pretty decent one to get. The stock hard drive isn't bad, but if you're going to do any upgrades the first thing I'd do is throw in a 7200rpm drive. I use the 320gb 7200rpm Scorpio from WD a lot, it's available for $65:

Amazon is selling this for $449, so $70 off is pretty good. Plus it's just a nice laptop for under $400.

i'd have ordered this if frys wasnt selling this for $300 instead, not that 380 isnt a good deal, but knowing that I could have had it for cheaper makes me angry. Obviously, the offer from frys is over, so I'm really just ranting because I missed it, ignore me....
