Looks like another Audi win then. Toyota looked like it was about give Audi a run for its money... then the challenge fell apart in the span of an hour. :hmm:

Yeah, LMP1 is pretty much finished...There's so many Audi's left, that unless some ridiculous disaster strikes, nobody can touch them

LMP2 and GTE is where it's at - sadly less in-car cameras there, and less well-known names, due to this being the area of privateers.
Still, wonder whether the Corvettes can keep the Porsches at bay, and to what mayhem the Ferraris will get up to 😉

Sucks for the Corvette Team.

They forgot the nut for the center lock on the rear wheel. So it came off.

He limped it back to the Pits, but I wonder how the Differential handled that.

Also a bit of a bummer for Audi. Winning without competition is a pretty hollow feeling, even if it's endurance racing.

Of course, they did get lucky this time around, much like Peugeot got lucky last year, with the competitors being calmly taken care of in a variety of accidents, and not due to problems with reliability or pace.

Seems LMP2 by now also looks pretty clear-cut, which often puts drivers and crews in damage management mode, so not many surprises to expect with not even 5 hours to go.

#2 Audi also busted up now...

McNish into the barrier...

Audi #2 and #3 are in the garage for a lot of repair work.

Wow. #2 already back on track. Lost a lap or so fixing the front end. Got lucky with a full course caution.

The barrier McNish hit is taking way longer to repair than the car...

Well, it's designed to be MORE deformable than the car 😉

Also, regarding Davidson's accident, I am still surprised how much harder the impact (less deformation of the barriers) was for Davidson, compared to the Ferrari. Either he hit in a worse spot on the armco, closer to an upright, or the weight of the Ferrari (probably a real larder compared to the prototypes) made for slower deceleration.

I had a pretty busy weekend and wasn´t really able to watch, does anybody know if Speed or any other channel has a highlight show? Let´s say 2-3 hours long? I´ve seen soccer matches brought down to 30 minutes (BBC I think???), something like that.

SpeedTV is airing Truth in 24 II: Every Second Counts on the 23rd. I think it's sponsored by Audi though so it might just be an Audi circlejerk.

Some guy uploaded the whole race on youtube though:
