He just didn't let it run long enough!

lol yes probably!

He's now making a slot machine, he has taped yard sale price tags to some lego rims and has somehow got them to spin just slightly staggered from each other, so it really is like a real one :p It makes noises and everything. He amazes me daily :)

At first I thought it wasn't that great, I've seen some pretty amazing stuff in the mindstorms gallery. But then I read this part:

This is not a kit you can buy and does not use mindstorms. I designed/built/coded it all from scratch including analog motor electronics, sensors and printer driver, the USB interface uses a “wiring” board.

This guy's geek penis is way larger than mine.

This video is win.

Legos are win (except their insane price tag)

And the music in the video is totally win.

Why's that? It's not much different than the printers we had in the CAD room in 1985, except those had 4 pens. Printing wasn't a whole lot faster.

i just mean the prehistoric construction of the machine. i mean, legos as gears kind of suck balls. we've always had better tech than that for printers since 'printers' have existed.

but that's not the point of it (to be high tech). it's a joke. relax.
