Yeah, me again (the one who got the $4.99 Mindstorms at Best Buy that no one else has been able to find.)

By way of making it up to you Mindstorms fans, eToys has just dropped the price of the Vision Command set to $23.99! This will probably go quick - it's still $90 to $100 everywhere else!

Just got one, used the wishlist 10% off. Ends up being 27 something shipped, also amazon.com has this for 99 bucks and that's WITHOUT shipping so this is FLAMING HOT deal if u ask me.

Aquarius: no harm done in ordering if u want one. even if etoys fails to deliver they can't charge CC until they SHIP. Anyhow u can always despute charges if anything goes wrong.

I noted this in another thread, but for anyone looking at any of the eToys deals (not just this one): Don't worry too much about getting ripped off. I ordered from eToys last week (Friday, 01/04) and yesterday (Thursday, 01/10) my stuff arrived. I've ordered twice more since then and have a shipping notice on one of the orders (the other was just placed today.) Just cause they're closing doesn't, by any stretch, mean they're likely to rip you.

eToys has some great deals because they have to unload as much of their inventory as possible. It's going to happen with other etailers in the weeks and months to come too, and it's nuts to pass them up based on unfounded fears. If an established etailer really wanted to pull such a scam they'ed do it before their money problems and immenent closure were public knowledge (believe it or not, even the management of dot coms can see it coming before anyone on the outside knows,) and they wouldn't let their real-time inventory system refuse orders when an item goes out of stock.

I think the worst we'll see from them is a no-ship/no-charge notice, but, in all likleyhood, we'll all get our deliveries.

Hot deal, I got a couple for next Christmas. I wish my son was old enough to play with this stuff.
