Based on the first four Harry Potter books and movies that tell the story of Harry?s first four years at Hogwarts? School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, LEGO® Harry Potter: Years 1-4 offers an engaging mix of magical gameplay and light-hearted humor. LEGO® Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is being developed by TT Games and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and is scheduled for release in 2010.

LEGO® Harry Potter: Years 1-4 will give gamers the chance to experience the magic and adventure of Harry Potter in a uniquely LEGO way. Playing as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley? and Hermione Granger?, as well as other favorite characters, gamers will have the opportunity to attend lessons, cast spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and complete tasks to earn house points. Well, there's actually LEGO Harry Potter toys, all the LEGO themed games they're making are based off of pre-existing toys.

Lego Star Wars was the only way to get my SO into Star Wars...

We have both already read the HP books, so this looks fun.

I wonder if they'll change the style at all for this one. All of the other lego games so far are the same 'beat the hell out of everything' type gameplay. Fun, and made sense with all the series so far... but Harry Potter doesn't beat the shit out of anything. He's got a wee pointy stick

It will probably be like the old games...focusing on collecting shit and beating up stuff like bugs and plants and such.

EDIT: I bet the wands will shoot out little magic looking stuff...probably random shapes in a white blob.
