its looks pretty cool cause im a big fan of zelda but the the video quite nicely sums up the big problem with GC, if you watch closely everytime link hits something with a sword the system lags out, this same thing happens inmost gc games, rouge spear is especially prone to halts if you take the y-wing and strafe a star destryoer and drop some bombs the system will grind to a halt. its lame and really detracts from the experience.
True, but realize that the slowdown issue also existed in the original NES, the SNES, and the N64. It rarely (if ever) showed in Nintendo's retail first party games (it will probably be much less prevalent in the final version of Zelda, if not gone altogether), but it happened a lot in
earlier games from third parties. A bit after the systems were new, it all but disappeared. It seems that as developers get better at making games for Nintendo's systems, the problem goes away.
As someone already said, there are still 6 - 8 months of development time left on Zelda.
As to my opinion on the game, I am quite torn. I do not really like the cel-shaded version of Zelda. The original version of the graphical look was much better, and Link was an adult, or at least in his late teens. Last I heard, this Zelda game will be almost comic, and it looks like it is geared towards kids.
I am also wondering why this game (and Majora's Mask) have Link still as a kid. I would much rather be playing as an adult, like in Ocarina of Time.
I grew up playing Zelda, from the original on the NES, to the ones on the N64, and the Gameboy ones in between. If the series is going to continue in this "childish" manner, I don't think that I'm going to be liking Zelda much longer.
