Legend of the Seeker finale

People are actually so bored or starved for SOME kind of entertainment that they watch that drivel?

IMO, the crap they keep putting out on television gets worse and more moronic year after year. (not that it's ever been great)
 
I remember watching part of the first episode while thinking to myself, "gee, this seems really similar to Wizard's First Rule." Went and looked it up during a commercial, and found that yes, the series is in fact (loosely) based on the novels. How faithful are they being to Goodkind's storyline (I haven't watched beyond those 15 minutes of the first show)?

I had the first 3 episodes recorded, got halfway into the 2nd and i had to start fast forwarding because it was so terrible, this series makes Hercules/Xena look like Oscar material.
 
I didn't like it at first cause of its deviation from the original story but when I accepted that it's simply a TV show "based on" the story, I was able to enjoy it a lot more. Not all the episodes are great, but some were definitely fun to watch. I had to keep in mind that my expectations were quite high because I really liked the book, I found that Goodkind did a masterful job writing that series (especially the first book) -- and I'm not someone that reads a lot and I'm really not someone that's "into the fantasy genre" by any stretch of the imagination, but I was able to thoroughly enjoy reading Wizard's First Rule.

I think it must be quite difficult to accurately portray in video the characters as Goodkind has in the books.

Which reminds me, I still need to actually read the last two or three novels in the series at some point.
 
i only expected B grade show with action and some eye candy, the Mord'Sith have pulled thru especially when Kalen was in a Mord' Sith outfit 😀
 
So why did the all-powerful Lord Rahl/Male Confessor live in a freakin' cave? Couldn't he just make his legions of slaves build another palace? I thought they did a good job of showing how evil he was though (especially as a kid).

And what's with them totally ditching the storyline about him being Rahl's son? I figured all along they were just postponing it and there'd be some revelation when Darken Rahl dies and all the D'Harans become aware that Richard is the new Lord Rahl. That was probably the weakest part IMO.
 
I liked the books... until one point where there were two books in a row that were just awful. I quit reading after that, and I think there were a few more released.

As for the TV show, it really is bad. No clue why I watch it.

actually, Rahl does mention to Jensen that he is Richard and Jensen's brother based on the story in the show, I don't believe that was true.

Well, at least it is over. Man, that was bad though.

"Here, We'll spend 21 episodes trying to kill this dude, and then, without any sort of conflict, he stabs a box and dies." It did seem to remind me of the Hercules and Xena days.
