Prostitution should be legal. Currently, it is a victimless crime that attempts to enforce a moral standard. IMO, morality for its own sake should not be legislated.

As long as the pimp licensing fees aren't ridiculous, I'm all for it.

Speaking of which, how would writing off taxes on the whore business expenses work?

I don't understand that. She's going to choose to do that or not. By legalizing it, you can provide an infrastructure that protects her far more than she is now.

Voted no. I do believe that people need to make money but I don't believe in the spreading of STD's.

This is ironic - by not providing an infrastructure to protect the participants, I believe you are more likely to spread STDs.

If the women and men needed to get checked before exchanging services, then you could help to reduce the problem. This is something that could be enforced if it were legal. If it is illegal, then it is impossible to implement.

Garet: Makes sense. If they were to legalize it and enforce rules regarding safe sex I wouldn't have a problem with it. Fuck away!

ElFenix assumes that no woman (or man, or transsexual) could ever actually want to work as a prostitute, but rather is forced to it by being a victim of some outside factor.

prositution is legal in nevada. and it also still is very much alive in the grey areas of the law. escort services, lingerie studios and asian massage parlors.
