I all for it, and any other natural substance. Tax it too. As far as the lab created shit, I know too much about chemistry and science especially in the lab setting to trust the stuff that's out there.

Legalize all drugs.

Nuff said.

I don't know about all drugs, there are some that have truly nasty side effects.
I read a really interesting article the other day about what 'bath salts' do to the brain.

Things like that need to remain banned, but the use of them would decrease if there were other legal ways to get high.

Here's the link the the article.

For those that want the cliff notes version:
Bath Salts act like a combination of amphetamines and cocaine within the brain, except the cocaine type effect is 10x stronger and doesn't 'wear off' eventually like Cocaine does.

The "lab" shit is what causing a lot of damage nowadays, people trying to make newer versions of illegal drugs, giving us bath salts and other "research chemicals. They need to just get over it, and legalize the real shit, and let nature take it's course.

Perhaps, but I still don't think we should legalize them. Then again, it shouldn't matter if someone wants to off themself due to a dose crappy chemical mix.

There is actually a ballot measure in Oregon this election to legalize marijuana. Measure 80.

Won't work, Obama will still enforce laws against it. He is already ignoring states rights on Medical Marijuana.

What state's rights? MMJ might be OK if the abusers would think for those that need it vs using it ad an excuse for tiling parties.

They have ruined the chance of getting support at the Federal level. There are way to many 20 year old college students that "NEED their "medical" fix

I tend to disagree. Not about what Obama is doing, but about the importance of state de-criminalization measures. We need to get those passed. The fact is, the federal government only has the resources to enforce against large growers and sellers. Enforcement for possession and smaller scale cultivation and sales comes almost entirely from states. As a practical matter, much of it will just fly under the radar if it's de-criminalized by the states.

Also, state legalization by popular ballot sends a message to those looking to run for federal office. As soon as they start to think that most Americans want it legalized, they'll back it to get votes.

He is, yes, and wrongly so, IMO.

Depends on what you mean by wrong. It would be bad and therefore wrong for him to do something that would return a Republican to the Presidency and legalizing drugs would be profoundly dangerous for that reason, is one way to look at it, depending on your perspective. The unjustness of the government telling you what to do with your body is another, but more selfish and personal view. I overlook this problem because I believe it is up to Republicans to go to China on this issue. They would bury a Democrat if he or she tried that. It's always tricky given how evenly divided the country is, to do too much that makes good sense. You have to lead but you also have to follow the people and not try to get too far ahead of them. The same is true of the abomination of capital punishment in a modern world where we have secure prisons and numerous other issues.

LSD is fine, so is ketamine. Its the hard lab shit that sucks. Even so, morphine is fine for PRN administered by a hospital.

All drugs should be legalized, and NOT taxed. They should just be left alone.

Drugs and pot specifically won't be legalized because the money from big pharma will make sure of it. They will lobby like crazy against anything that can take away from their legalized fake shit that costs thousands a year.
