I think it's brilliant. Three birds one stone really, you get revenues from legalizing MJ and that's HUGE; you get revenues from substantial increase sales taxes from food vendors (snacks at the very least); everybody will be mellowed out and less road rage, less accidents, less traffics because people will most likely stay home unless they're getting food. WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!!! Where do I sign?

lol, but realistically, they'll save a ton of money just by not having to trial and incarcerate smokers...

I have no idea what it costs now but I remember buying a pound for $100.

The fuck, did you guys ride out on horseback for the transaction?
Kind of. I had a 1966 Mustang fastback.

You forgot all the people that will no longer be unemployed, they will be too busy growing pot.
So it cuts unemployment too !

considering it is illegal by federal standards I fail to see how the california state congrees feels this is within their right.

Having said that the federal congress long ago threw out the limitations called out in the constitution so it could happen.

The bill is 3 parts.
Legalize pot.
Split from the Union.
Split CA in two.

$50 per ounce levy...

not bad considering it costs $400+ on the street easily.

WTF, marijuana costs $400 an ounce in the US?

It shouldn't be hard to think about why illegal things are much more expensive outside a country where it's legal.

We can't grow it, ship it, buy it or smoke it. All those levels have authorities handing out tickets and jail time.

I say legalize these kinds of drugs. Have them fall under DUI laws and make it a double whammy to generate tons of dough for our states that we will never see.

How do you classify the two opposing sides regarding legalization of marijuana?

liberal/conservative? rich/poor? young/old?

Have pot but don't need it / Need pot but don't have it

in ma where possession of less than an oz is a misdemeanor an oz can run anywhere from $80 for absolute garbage to $350-$400 for A's with b's being around the $250 range.

hope weed is never legalized!

dealer?

I find the stuff disgusting.

yeah, many dealers do as well, and i know a mortician who really hated his job( he got out of it_ the kid is stacked) but hey..the dealers have the most to lose with it becoming legal.

i have lawyer friends iver smoked with..more teachers than you would even believe...tenured college professors, engineers, mechanics... you may find it disgusting but you are in an ever increasing minority.

and no doubt its conception would not be possible without a small hit 😛

Seriously, I never woulda beat FF9 without that magic herb.

I wish it'd just be legal and be done with it. Everybody who wants to smoke it already does. Celebrities on TV and in music talk about smoking it all the time, but nothing is ever done. Might as well legalize it and tax the hell out of it.
