I do not know it specifically. Dependency and memory problems is what it comes down too.
But i do have to add that these people all have very strong personalities and are very present and can as such sometimes be a challenge to communicate with. Busy, present outgoing people : Extrovert people i would describe them.

In all honesty, i would myself not directly describe this to cannabis alone but more to the combination person(genetic makeup) - cannabis use and possible diet. I mean, they did not live in a cage for 15 years isolated from the rest of the world. As such there are more factors and i hesitate to blame cannabis with this in mind.

So costs drop to $38 per ounce, you add on maybe $100-200 in taxes, prices are still much lower than they used to be, and everyone is a winner.

Only problem is that it would actually make sense, so of course it has no chance of passing.

Taxation of 300-600%? That's insane. The government would already be saving money by not chasing after users and growers, busting up operations, running court cases - there's no need for that much of a tax. Does alcohol have a 300-600% tax on it?

The father of a friend of mine used to have a very good answer to people who say that they cannot help it when they are fat. His reply was always, in the Auschwitz camps there were no fat people. :hmm:

Guys legalizing pot is immoral and you shouldnt do it, it could make you evil and turn you into a devil worshiper. Not to mention the drug cartels, Wont somone think of the drug cartels?

Also legalizing drugs would go a long way to stopping the inflow of more dangerous drugs, since something like 50% of the cartels revenue comes from pot, so they would have to drastically increase prices on everything else, hopefully out of the range for anyone to afford their habits.
 
The drug cartels, organized crime, and law enforcement are against legalization because it means a loss of revenue and unemployment. The ability to grow your own supply in a backyard garden, on a balcony in a planter or indoors would change the game.

The tide may be turning but the government is afraid that it will miss out on tax revenue if people just grow their own.

And think of all the jobs it would create. Not tax sucking drug enforcement jobs but actual productive wealth creating jobs. We definitely don't need any more productive jobs in this country!
 
I don't get why there would be a price drop. For all intents and purposes it is legal now in California already.. It is being grown everywhere, indoors and outdoors they just can't contain it anymore. Many county prosecutors refuse to take on new cases. For a scholarly study this article presented zero details on why they think their would be an 80% price reduction.

I would classify this as bullshit.

I don't know, maybe it has something to do with living in a police state when it comes to growing or distributing marijuana.
You do realize that if you are found (in most states) growing weed it assumes you are a distributor. Well, several years back in the noble war against drugs, they made it so the cops can sieze all your assets, including your house, before you get to trial so you can't defend yourself!!!

You want to take that chance?

Legalize all drugs and prostitution then tax them 10%.

Less law enforcement needed and more taxes coming in. Gangs will reduce in number as well since so many exist to sling drugs.

Ask Portugal how it's done.

Haven't smoked pot in about 15 years (though I'm open to the idea of a once a year daliance for old times sake). Nonetheless, I will be voting to legalize in November. It's ridiculous for us to spend tax payer money on police, judicial resources, and penal resources in a vain attempt to stop people from smoking pot.

Crippling the Mexican drug cartels by cutting off a major revenue source is also the first step towards solving the illegal immigration problem.

If Mexico has stable government it becomes easier to create jobs there, giving the illegals a reason to stay home and work there.

Again, this all makes too much sense so it will never happen.

Stop the self hate. Humans are evolved for spiritual love. That is why for example we can get all cuddly and cozy :awe: and :awe: even when we see the offspring of an animal which will be a vicious and rigorous killer when matured. Even little crocodiles are fun, lions cubs, little chameleons, little turtles, little spiders. But also fluffy bunnies and cute chicks from birds, puppies or kittens, little fish...
