Legal Rights?

My question is: If a police officer does decide to search you without your consent, even if you clearly said no, what recourse do you have? If you have no eye-witnesses and the officer lies in court and says you did give consent, or says that he saw a bag of pot on your seat, what can you do about it?

yeah thats pretty much the only solution. and even then it's going to be a steep uphill battle.

other then getting a good lawyer i really do not know. if the cop decides to lie i guess you are screwed eh? though they do video tape it sometimes

Don't most cop cars has sound and video recordings?

Anyway, any evidence that the judge sees as tainted or "fruit of a poisoned tree" will be thrown out but proving that the search was not consentual is where an attorney makes his money not from just spouting the law.
