Legal question: Company logos

Can I use a companies logo, say USA Today or Gamespot, those type, and put the image of the logo on my site and when a user clicks on the logo it goes to their website? I don't see why not since it's being directed to their website but just checking

They have departments of people ready to answer your question.
When I did site creation, I contacted the company in question. They will tell you which logo to use, what size, etc.

Yes, you need to contact the company in question.
Some will not permit this at all.
