If you're dumb enough to ship to Lithuania....I'm sure I could find someone in Nigeria that needs to deposit money into your accounts.

Nebor -

Your neighbor living down the street is under US juristiction, if he tries to commit fraud the FBI will soon be on his ass. The vast majority of the time, people from eastern europe are scammers. If you don't realize this you're a moron too.

I stopped reading at "Lithuania" because you're a fvcking dumbass for selling or trading with anyone from that country.

Yeah, this guy Lou down the street is from Lithuania, he scams people on ebay ALL THE TIME. People from Lithuania are horrible persons. I think that's what Mill is trying to say.

No, I'm not saying anything about the people from Lithuania being horrible. I'm saying that traders from Eastern Bloc countries are 99.9% of the time scammers.

Ah, I gotcha now. So my neighbor from Bulgaria is also not to be traded with? Understood. And I thought it was just the Lithuanians... Looks like everyone's dirty.

I'm talking about people that LIVE in the Eastern Bloc.

I have no eastern bloc neighbors, I was just playin' with Mill because he said "someone from lithuania."

I still stick by CheapArse being a closet Lithuanian though. 😛

ok, i don't really understand the whole credit rating- Crutoy is saying it's not that big of a deal, Nocturnal is saying even the smallest smudge hurts like hell. which is it?

also, my parents have been carefully guiding my credit portfolio since i was in 9th grade, they've given me joint credit cards and helped me form multiple bank accounts under my own name by depositing money monthly into each one. (nice huh?) so i'm trying not to trash their hard and loving work by this crapass of a company.

to tell you guys the truth, i probably will just pay the $80 and bite the bullet, but i've already filed complaints with the FTC and the AG of CA.

and btw, Mill isn't being honest, he's just being an ass. like i asked kindly at the top of this message, unless you have something constructive, please don't post on here, because Anandtech really doesn't need more threadcrappers trying to fan the flames of monkey feces and start fights here and there about nothing- like saying everyone from the eastern bloc is a scammer. honestly, what are you trying to do?

Unfortunately, this is how all of us learn the hard way about all 'banking institutions.' In the end, paypal is really just a bank. Banks always seem to be on your side when you sign up for the account, but will never fight for you when a situation arises.

I had a customer once who paid via paypal and shipped to a non-verified paypal address. I had spoken to the customer over the phone even. After receipt of the package, they filed a claim with paypal who immediately held the money. I contacted paypal and showed them the FedEx signature confirmation clearly showing the package was received. In the end, paypal still accepted the customers claim and withdrew the funds.

Moral of the story: You can't fight any bank, no matter how much it hurts and how wrong it feels. You have to accept this.

safoo, I can't believe paypal wouldn't accept the fed ex signature thing. That's total crap... Did you ever get the guy back?

Everyone from the Eastern Bloc IS a fvcking scammer. Secondly, your parents having joint cards and you having bank accounts DO NOT effect your credit until 18. Even then bank accounts DO NOT matter, and Joint Credit Cards only matter if they co-signed with you. That means you would have had to fill out a credit app along with them. Credit is a big deal if you ever plan to buy a house or finance a car. One smidge isn't going to kill you, but it could have a negative effect on what rate you are offered.

I'm not trying to start a goddamn fight, I'm telling you that you were stupid to trade internationally with ANYONE from the Eastern Bloc, and that includes any other trader here. You'll never find a long time trader on AT or Ebay that ships to the Eastern Bloc. 99.9% of the people there that engage in internet goods trading ARE scammers. Deal with it.

Oh, and my purpose in this thread is only one thing. I'm showing how stupid you have to be to trade with someone from the Eastern Bloc. You are showing yourself to be a naive, uninformed, pretentious jackoff.

a negative mark on your credit is no good any way you look at it.

I'd go with this plan

Sometimes the truth hurts...and thats just how Mill is...you'll get used to him.

Hrmm... we should gather up a large group of people who've been scammed by Eastern Bloc types and travel the Eastern Europe for some mob vengeance. I mean, they must have scammed hundreds of people. It would be great, going with the mob from scammer to scammer, extracting harsh mob justice, along with vital organs...

I'll get the ball rolling by setting Lou's house on fire.

Lot of the scammers in the Eastern Bloc(especially those that pull CC or financial scams) have links to the Russian Mob. I wouldn't personally go mess with them, mob or not.
