Left4Dead developer cheats

I was reading the Demo Hands On @ Gamespot and they said there were developer cheats that you could use to play as the boss zombies. Anyone heard about this? I googled it and nothing came up.

Yes you were able to, but they updated the demo and took out this bug since it was originally not supposed to be in there.

You're going to have to wait for the full release to play as the infected.

Yep. Thankfully I didn't try it yet so I don't miss anything but can't wait to try with the full game when it comes out!

I have a sneaky suspicion that the update that came out Nov. 10 that took out this bug was so the general public could not have this advantage like the prerelease demo testers did! It was one of the perks of preordering I think. Than again we may never know but I like to believe Value did this for a reason.

I forgot to mention I did play one campaign though when other players were boss zombies! That was many hours of fun! Glad I never played as boss zombies yet or I may be wanting to again when I can't. I can't imagine how it must feel to lose that because it seems like it would be a lot of fun because human players will always be different everytime unlike A.I. players.

Get a list of cvars and throw up a server on your machine. We've been playing with the boss zombies since pre-order demo was released. You need to switch teams, spawn a boss infected, then take control of it.

There is also some other cheat I was playing last night.. friend said it was "impossible" mode. Tons and tons of zombies were just spawning all over the place. For whatever reason one of them had some sort of macro and guns and ammo and molotovs just poured out of him. It was kinda of boring after awhile having unlimited ammo and stuff but I'm sure the commands are out there.

You can't be the witch at all. She's not a playable character and is not a bot. She is like normal zombies... just a zombie, doesn't have her own BOT class even. Allows you to spawn as many witches as you want, unlike the tank, smoker, hunter and boomer.

No, they didn't take it out... just a few days ago when I was playing I could be all of them still. (tank, smoker, hunter, boomer)
