Wolf seems center left based on what I've seen.
I never really did answer op, so I'll take a stab at it.
My right-ish beliefs:
*Pro gun, though I support some sensible regulation (i.e., background checks and up to a 10 day waiting period)
*Support teacher reform (require ongoing knowledge, support limited charter schools, may be able to support a voucher system if it includes public schools)
*Support raising the retirement age for social security and medicare
*Pro immigration reform - but I want amnesty or some solution (fine?) for the people who are here. Then get our troops to stop defending other countries borders and focus on our own.
*Support temporary welfare programs for individuals who are out of work. Should focus on re-training.
*Support Paygo, I want new spending deficit neutral.
*Anti-Bank bailout (though I recognize it was probably necessary)
*Anti-Auto bailout (though I didn't want to see American motor companies fail, I would have preferred more market oriented solution to GM's bankruptcy)
*Would support wars to end human atrocities (i.e., genocide), but would prefer it if we'd all just get along

*Pro War in Afghanistan
My left-ish beliefs:
*Strongly believe that government should provide "necessary services that cannot currently be provided adequately by the non-government sector (non-profit or for-profit groups)." This is the main reason that I support universal health care, as I feel the private sector has failed spectacularly.
*Support universal health care, which to me means eliminating pre-existing conditions, lifetime limits, and gender bias. I am fine with smoker/obesity bias (unless obesity is genetically related)
*Support a progressive tax system, capping at 39% for individuals making >200k a year.
*Support removing the SS tax limitation of 102k per year (or raising it).
*Support GLBT individuals serving openly in the military
*Support stem cell research
*Support giving terrorists all rights granted by the 5th amendment, because it says "persons" and we didn't declare war. I am fine with a Constitutional Amendment or a declaration of war changing this so that military tribunals are Constitutional.
*For nuclear energy, strongly against expanding off-shore drilling.
*Want massive investment in updating the U.S. energy grid, especially in the North East.
*Do not support mandatory minimums.
*Anti-Death Penalty (though I do support life in prison w/o parole)
*Pro marijuana legalization.
*Support cutting defense spending as part of deficit reduction.
*Support comprehensive welfare programs for the disabled and ill.
*Support day care and pre-natal assistance for single mothers.
*Support gay marriage, or the removal of government involvement in marriage entirely. Take your pick.
*Against mandatory minimums.
*Strong believer in separation of church and state.
*For tax reform to close loop holes.
*Very Pro-Veteran.
*Support efforts to create more environmentally friendly policies, even if it means I pay a little more out of pocket (I would prefer solutions that employ free market principles, so things like cap & trade...but perhaps not the bill that the House passed)
*Anti-PATRIOT act.
*Prefer that individuals, organizations, corporations, and government make decisions with regards to social responsibility (i.e., how will what I do impact others).
*Support comprehensive campaign finance reform. Don't exactly know what policies I'd prefer, but I don't like what we have.
*Support efforts to increase voter participation and registration.
*Anti-nation building (unless we are working here at home)
*Pro multi-culturalism
*Anti-national language (English or otherwise)
*Against the "War on Drugs" because as far as I can tell it is just pissing away money...we pay taxes to fund the war on drugs, and we pay money to drug dealers to sustain our addictions. Not sure how we can win a war that way.
*Anti-Iraq War
*Support expansion of Pell Grant and other ways to fund higher education without taking out loans. Would consider some sort of "national" service plan in exchange for covering the cost of education in high needs areas (health care, science, engineering). Similar to how ROTC provides scholarships.
*Support credit card reform and efforts to increase personal savings.
Compromise positions:
*I would accept tort reform as part of a COMPREHENSIVE health care reform package.
*I will accept an individual mandate as a way of allowing pre-existing conditions to be eliminated without destroying private industry, however I'd prefer something else...just haven't heard what yet
*I could accept state health insurance exchanges instead of a national one.
*I could accept not expanding Medicaid or Medicare as a way of achieving universal health care. Perhaps a voucher system of some kind could be implemented so that poor individuals have a choice about what medical insurance they have. Come to think of it, this might be a good way for *all* individuals to get health care...with some additional reforms. I would support Medicaid/Medicare reforms.
*Would be willing to create a government program for "high-risk" insurance individuals, such as those with pre-existing conditions. I don't know how the hell it could be made financially sustainable or how abuse by private industry could be prevented (got acne? PRE-EXISTING CONDITION!!!!11!)
*Education, I don't think we get enough bang for our buck, but I don't think it's all the teacher's faults either. Would prefer programs that instill education as a core value, especially with inner city youth.
*In light of the fact that some research shows abstinence only education may actually work, I'm willing to re-examine it as a solution. That said, I still support teaching about proper condom use and STDs (probably to age 14 and above). I've spent to much time in inner city schools, sorry.
*Would support Constitutional Amendment to allow for military tribunals for terrorists, I do not currently believe suspension of habeus corpus is Constitutional. Find me compelling evidence that it is and we'll talk. I do not believe that we should be "soft" on terrorists, but I also do not believe we should compromise what makes American fundamentally good to win a war that very well may never end.
*I would compromise my position on abortion. It is not an issue I feel particularly strongly about (at this time). With some more social welfare programs to support single mothers you might even be able to bring me on board for a total ban to abortion (except in the cases of incest, rape, or mother's life in danger). Basically I'd want some comprehensive pre-natal and day care, some parenting training, and guaranteed food/housing/health care for the child. I'd prefer that steps were taken to more strictly punish dead beat dads. I don't think I'm likely to ever get those things, so my position on abortion remains pro-choice....I just hate myself for it
I would describe myself as a libertarian democrat. I don't consider myself uncompromising, but I am an unapologetic liberal (in the original sense of the word, not this 21st century bastardization). I don't like being lumped with liberal politicians because frankly there is a lot I don't agree with them on. A lot of them seem to think government can fix everything, I think government can fix somethings, but for most it should stay the hell out. If I were a politician, I would be willing to give up some of what I want in order to accomplish some of what I want. I am more compromising on fiscal matters, less so on civil liberties and personal freedom. I would probably govern like the late Patrick Moynihan (from what I know of him). I try very hard (and sometimes fail) to treat those I disagree with respectfully.
