I have 3 gpu's, an nvidia 970, amd 7950 boost and amd 6850.

I just put together another build so I can have 2 pc's, one for my work, other for gaming

I wanted to use my old 7950 in the work rig but, even though it worked when i last used it, and its just been sitting in an antistatic bag for a year, now when I plug it in I get no image, neither from DVI nor HDMI

My even older 6850 works fine so I dont understand why the 7950 would no longer work. Does anybody know what could go wrong when a card is just sitting in a box in a closet?

The only thing I can think of is malfunctioning. A manufacturing fault or yourself. When handling, one should always be grounded. I work in the electronic manufacturing for several years, so I know and seen a lot of it.

Or does your MB have onboard video and is it defaulting to that rather than the add-in card?
