All teh other speakers work. I bought these years ago when they came out. The cable isn't lose, and I don't know a lot about troubleshooting speakers. However, these were too expensive to just throw out. Any ideas?

My friend had an issue with his 5.1's. When they first made them, there was a problem with the amp in the sub, which caused his speakers not to work. We got our 5.1's at the same time, and mine are still working great, so I don't know... Maybe try contacting klipsch

I heard the connections inside have a tendency to come loose. If you're technically inclined, pull the sub apart to see what's loose!:D

Would the sub affect the left rear satellite?

The Amp is inside the subwoofer box. The Amp most certainly will affect the left rear satellite.

I had this problem with mine, the satillite amps stopped working, but the subs were fine. very annoying. Klipsch promptly sent me out a brand new set of 5.1 ultras, 2 months before they were even released :)

promedia 2.04,thats the two speaker model, correct? so only one is working, not plural? if its the 2 speaker model try using a spare 1/8" cable to test. also check your sound settings, you might have it pushed to the left or right channel.

No, I have 4 speakers and a sub. Maybe I gave the wrong model number? :(

so is it the front left channel thats dead, the rear, or both? did you try hooking up the two analog inputs to different devices to see if its the computer?

well i'm faily sure those speakers use an amp for each speaker then one for the subwoofers. the amp might have died or you could try what the others said and check for loose connections. i've seen people part them out and sell them on e-bay too.

edit: worst comes to worst, 2.1 sound is still respectable....

It is most likely the Amp, but to check the speaker simply plug it into the Left/Right Front or Right Rear. If sound comes out, it's ok, if not, try one of the other Speakers in the Left Rear.
