Left 4 Dead -- Missing CD Key

Hey ,
I just got a copy of L4D from amazon and there was no key inside. Any idea on what I can do?

Um.. Look harder? That's my guess. Does the game require one?? I assume you have to register it on steam.

If there really isn't a key in the box/manual, call Amazon (or the third party retailer you bought it from) to get a key or a replacement software box.

yup there is no key. First i could not believe it either but really there is no key. i buy my games on steam but amazon had a good deal so i bought it from there.

i tried searching that maybe someone else is also experiencing a similar problem but cant find anything on it.

Did you buy one of the used ones on Amazon or from Amazon or one of it's retailers? Just asking cus you never know.

Did you check the insert on the inside left of the DVD case? That's where my key was, at the bottom of an insert.

It's on the front of the "quick reference card" the size of the manual but only a single page, hard to miss.

They must have not packed yours in the package... chit happens.

I bought it on the same Amazon Black Friday deal and it most definitely came with the cdkey on the insert

And in 4 days with FSSS to boot. I was surprised it came so quickly. Too bad no time to play for a while...

I did the same (with some additional deals, too) but they won't ship until a week before Christmas.
