I've seen that pic used countless times on fark and SA 😛 not sure if it's real or not but it's been around for a while
 
Soooo....what exactly are we trying to say is fake? That Oswald wasn't shot? That Ruby didn't shoot him? That he was killed some other time than the taking of this photograph?
 
All IM saying is that the photo looks fake at some parts. I dont deny that the photo is actually real but some things looks pretty fishy. As far as him being shot...well I dont give a damn and America is evil. There!

Yeah the moon landing is BS I think but I dont care Im just living my life and there is nothing I can do about a world so f*cked up.
 
Thats like saying aliens are real because you watched that autopsy video. I do in fact believe they are realy but not because of some picture or video.
 
Whoa, the amount of ignoance in this thread is staggering... you guys really don't know anything about old printing processes for publications?

Here, I'll explain it to you. Yes, that picture is retouched by hand. In the old days, when printing was done on old machines, called linotypes, using lead lettering and metal sheets as maquettes for magazine pages, many details in pictures were lost during the process, so the pictures were retouched by technicians, who strengthened separations between shapes and colours, and sometimes - if necessary - enhance certain attributes of the image.

There is nothing dubious abouth the picture, except it's been enhanced. Yes, Ruby shot Oswald. The photographer who caught the moment on camera was using high-speed film, and the image was blurry and grainy. It would have looked like unintelligible goulash on a magazine page in 1963, had it not been retouched in the newsroom.

Here's another bit of trivia. Sometimes, even if the technology was primitive and based on hand-redrawing or double exposure, the technicians were called upon to make "trick pictures". I remember being told this funny story from Europe, by an old journalist: sometimes in the late 1970s, the dictator of Romania, Nicolae Ceausescu, received Leonid Brezhnev during a state visit to Bucharest. Now, Ceausescu was arrogant, and surrounded by sycophants who made it even worse, so when the official state newspaper wanted to put a picture of the two leaders on the front page, someone noticed that while Brezhnev had kept his hat on, the Romanian president did not. So, since the Party bosses didn't want it to appear as if the Romanian was being too defferential or subservient towards the Russian, the editors were ordered to "add" a hat on his head... The picture was bad, it was late at night, the deadline had passed... so next day, when the newspaper was on the streets, they realized that Ceausescu had his original hat in his hand, and a second one covering his head.

yea, my history teacher in high school always said the one time i he felt bad was wishing that lee harvey oswald would get shot, only to watch him get shot on live tv just moments later.

The conspiracy theory usually focuses on lee harvey oswald shooting a gun at a certain someone... not getting shot....
 
I know a guy with a picture that shows that scene with Oswald photoshopped with a guitar and a microphone and the caption at the bottom reads "Oswald Rocks." It's pretty funny.

If those are the pictures I didn't look because I am at work....so sue me! 😀 I do feel pretty dumb if that is the picture, though! Is the exact one I just said?
